Tylenol Side Effects in Babies
Tylenol, a brand name for acetaminophen, is used by parents and doctors to alleviate pains and fevers that occur during babyhood. Although rare, there are side effects involved with Tylenol use.-
Allergic reaction

Very rarely a baby is allergic to Tylenol. Allergic reactions include shortness of breath, swelling of the face or mouth, and hives.
Liver Damage

Liver damage is a rare but serious side effect of Tylenol. Symptoms of liver damage include yellowing of the skin and/or eyes, fatigue, and abdominal pain.
Bleeding

Unusual bleeding and bruising is a rare side effect of Infant Tylenol.

To prevent your baby from experiencing side effects from Tylenol, it's important to follow your pediatricians dosing instructions. Too much Tylenol can increase your baby's risk for serious side effects and damage his liver.
