If my baby is 1year and 8 months not walking that a problem?
Every baby develops at their own pace, and there is a wide range of what is considered normal when it comes to walking. Some babies start walking as early as 9 months, while others may not take their first steps until they are closer to 18 months. However, if you are concerned about your child's development, it is always a good idea to talk to your child's doctor. This is especially important if your child does not walk when their peers are, if they suddenly become reluctant to pull the legs upwards, when walking or climbing upstairs and does not show any sign of standing unaided. Early intervention can help to address a potential issue, especially if your baby has any other developmental delays.
Here are some tips to support your baby's physical development and encourage walking:
1. Provide plenty of opportunities for your baby to practice moving. This means tummy time, rolling, crawling, and cruising.
2. Encourage your baby to stand by holding their hands or providing support with a walker.
3. Talk to your baby and get them excited about walking. Use positive reinforcement, such as praise and encouragement when they take steps.
4. Remove any obstacles from your baby's path that could make it difficult for them to walk.
5. Be patient and supportive. Babies learn to walk at different rates, but with time and encouragement, your baby will be up and walking in no time.
