Is it possible to hear baby heart beat with home Doppler but the blood test and come up neg yet they refuse just listen what hearing Am I preg or bleeding internally?
Possible causes of hearing a heartbeat with home Doppler but having a negative blood test:- Early pregnancy: If you are very early in your pregnancy (less than 5 weeks), it is possible that the pregnancy hormone (human chorionic gonadotropin, hCG) levels in your blood may not be high enough to be detected by a blood test, but your baby's heart may already be beating and detectable with a home Doppler.
- Ectopic pregnancy: An ectopic pregnancy occurs when the fertilized egg implants outside the uterus, usually in the fallopian tube. Ectopic pregnancies can sometimes cause a positive home pregnancy test, but they will not show up on a blood test because the hCG levels are not as high as they would be in a normal pregnancy. Ectopic pregnancies can be dangerous and require medical treatment, so it is important to see a doctor if you have a positive home pregnancy test but a negative blood test.
- Miscarriage: A miscarriage is the loss of a pregnancy before 20 weeks gestation. Miscarriages can sometimes cause a positive home pregnancy test, but they will not show up on a blood test because the hCG levels start to decline after a miscarriage.
- Other medical conditions: Some other medical conditions, such as certain types of cancer or cysts, can cause a positive home pregnancy test, but they will not show up on a blood test.
Bleeding in early pregnancy:
- Implantation bleeding: Some women experience light bleeding or spotting around the time of implantation, which occurs when the fertilized egg attaches to the lining of the uterus. Implantation bleeding is usually light and lasts for only a few days.
- Cervical irritation: The cervix can become irritated during early pregnancy, which can cause light bleeding or spotting. Cervical irritation can be caused by sex, a pelvic exam, or other activities that put pressure on the cervix.
- Threatened abortion: A threatened abortion is when there is a risk of miscarriage. Threatened abortions can sometimes cause light bleeding or spotting.
- Ectopic pregnancy: Ectopic pregnancies can sometimes cause heavy bleeding, abdominal pain, and shoulder pain. Ectopic pregnancies are dangerous and require medical treatment, so it is important to see a doctor if you have ectopic pregnancy symptoms.
- Other medical conditions: Some other medical conditions, such as certain types of infections, can cause bleeding during early pregnancy.
If you are concerned about your pregnancy, it is important to see a doctor. Your doctor can perform a physical exam, order blood tests, and perform an ultrasound to determine if you are pregnant and to rule out any other medical conditions.
