How to Treat Ringworm in Kids
Ringworm is a common infection that is caused by fungus. It is not the result of a worm, but gets its name because of the ring-shaped rash it causes. Ringworm is a contagious infection that is spread by skin-to-skin contact, and is commonly spread by school-age children to their peers. If your child has ringworm, you can treat the infection at home. Most infections are cleared up within two to four weeks with consistent treatment. If you are unsure if your child has ringworm, contact your child's pediatrician or a dermatologist prior to treating the infection.Things You'll Need
