How to Stop Girls From Bullying

The Focus Adolescent Services website states that bullying is abusive behavior by one or more people against one or more victims. There are distinct differences in the types of bullying girls and boys take part in.
  1. Girls

    • Focus Adolescent Services reports that bullying by girls often takes the form of verbal, rather than physical abuse. Verbal abuse includes name calling, gossiping and rumor spreading about the victim and the exclusion of the victim from a social group.

    Awareness

    • The U.S. Government's Girls Health website reports that bullying amongst girls can be reduced by the raising of awareness amongst a social group. By instigating a pledge not to bully and reporting bullying, the number of bullying victims can be reduced.

    Informing

    • The Girls Health website explains that the simplest way of stopping bullying once it has begun is to tell a bullying victim or friend to inform a responsible adult of the situation. Letting a responsible adult know about the situation can protect the victim from further abuse.
