Research Paper Topics for Children's Health
The health of children has many topics that could be examined through research and study. These can range from children's diets, to activity to psychology, all of which have had large amounts of research already done on them and have a few simple conclusions.-
Childhood Obesity
-
Childhood obesity has come into the national spotlight as First Lady Michelle Obama takes it on through education, encouraging parents to create diets for their children that allows them to have proper eating habits as they get older. Much of childhood obesity is because children not only are not being active, but eating large amounts of sugar and fatty foods daily. Things that could be investigated in the research paper should entail eating a large amount of fresh fruits and vegetables, so that processed foods are largely removed from the diet. Wheat bread should replace white bread. Other things that could be discussed is how teaching children good eating habits when they are young pay off in the future, in their health and happiness and the amount of money saved on health care.
Child Psychology
-
A research paper on the psychology for children and psychologists who help children would delve into the social and personal development of children as they grow up into adults. This paper should cover all the different stages a child goes through in psychological development and what causes these changes and the differences in each child should be investigated thoroughly. These changes can be due to traumatizing events or impressionable influences or even genes and heredity of each child. Sexual and moral development should also be discussed in the research paper for children, as this is also learned in the formative years as children reach adolescence.
Children and Sports
-
Researching how sports and exercise at varying degrees effects children's health and happiness is an important topic, as sports encourage physical and mental well-being. Sports encourages significant amounts of exercise for children on a regular basis, but sports also help children on a social level, helping them to learn how to play with others, follows directions and rules and become leaders. Injuries to young athletes could also be a topic for a research paper.
