How to Cure Chapped Lips in Toddlers
Things You'll Need
- Cocoa butter or beeswax
- Petrolatum
- Multivitamin
- Humidifier
- Hydrocortisone cream
- 1-2-3 Ointment

Apply lip balms with cocoa butter and/or beeswax to the toddler's lips.

Apply petrolatum to the toddler's lips.

Give your toddler a multivitamin supplement daily. The extra vitamins will help with healing.

Offer the toddler more water.

Add a humidifier to your home or in the room of the toddler.

Apply a hydrocortisone cream to the toddler's chapped lips. This decreases inflammation and may be used in conjunction with a lip balm or petrolatum.

Apply a prescription strength ointment called 1-2-3 Ointment or Rosen's Ointment: 10 cc Burrow's Solution, 20 g of Aquaphor and 30 cc of zinc oxide paste. A pharmacist can mix this for you.
