How to Use Little Noses Saline

Few things are more miserable than a little one with a stuffy nose. Little Noses Saline is a non-medicinal product that provides relief for both dry and stuffy noses. It also can be used daily to keep nasal passages open and moisturized. Safe for newborns and infants, the drops help the mucus to drain to the front of the nose so that it can be easily removed by an aspirator. The drops can also be used on children up to the age of 6.

Determine that your child only has a dry or stuffy nose. If his symptoms seem worse than this, including a high fever, take him to the doctor.

Place your infant or child on his back. Hold the bottle upside down over (not in) each nostril and squeeze it lightly. This will cause the liquid to come out in drops. Apply two to six drops. Or, with the 2 to 6-year-old child sitting up, hold the bottle right side up under each nostril and squeeze firmly. This will cause the liquid to come out in a spray. Apply two to six sprays.

Wipe the nozzle clean. Be aware that using the same bottle on more than one person can spread infection.
