Aloe Vera Juice & Constipation in Children

Aloe vera has been used topically for thousands of years for cuts, burns and other skin conditions, but aloe has also been used as a laxative for just as long. The Mayo Clinic reports that there is evidence supporting the "laxative properties of aloe latex (found in the leaf)."

    Dosage

    • The recommended dosage for children 1 to 5 years old is 1 to 3 tsp. daily, but children with more serious conditions might need up to 1 or 2 tbsp. daily. Treatment can be continued for as long as needed.
