How to Do Baby & Child Safe Cleaning With Green Products

- Vinegar
- Spray bottles

- Baking soda
- Liquid soap
- Washing soda

- Newspaper

Mix three parts water with one part distilled vinegar in a spray bottle to clean your countertops. Add a few drops of bleach to clean surfaces that have been in contact with raw meat, eggs or fish. For heavy stains, mix baking soda and liquid soap (such as castille soap) until they form a pasty consistency.

Mix one part washing soda (a caustic type of baking soda) with one part baking soda to clean your oven. Add water until the mixture forms a paste. Apply the paste to the inside of your oven, and allow it to sit overnight. Remove the mixture, and rinse well with water.

Mix a few tbsp. of baking soda with water to form a paste to clean your microwave. Apply the mixture to a sponge, and wipe out the microwave. Rinse well with water.

Mix 1 2/3 cups of baking soda with 1/2 cup of liquid soap and 1/2 cup of water to clean bathroom tiles, bathtubs and the outside of your toilet. Then add 2 tbsp. of vinegar and quickly apply the mixture, scrub and rinse.

Pour a cup of Borax into the toilet bowl and let it sit overnight to clean a toilet. The next morning, use a scrub brush to scrub the bowl. Then flush the toilet.

Mix equal parts vinegar and water in a spray bottle to clean windows or other glass surfaces. Spray on glass surfaces, and wipe clean with newspaper. The newspaper will minimize streaking.
