If you are looking for immediate relief of your chicken pox, try lavender lotion or oil. This stops the skin from the immediate itch and provides a bit of relief of the inflammation on the skin itself.

Vitamin E is another great relief for itching of the skin when a child (or adult) has chicken pox. This usually is found in lotions, however you could open the E vitamins and place directly onto the itchy locations.

An oatmeal bath is another possible itch relief tool to use, especially when the itch is everywhere! Simply put two cups of rolled oats in a used pair of nylons, tie the top and allow it to soak while you are running the water. Once the tub is full, remove the nylon and allow your child to soak!
