How to Use the Clearblue Fertility Monitor

The Clearblue Easy Fertility Monitor is a home ovulation test that you can use to identify up to six days of fertility during the menstrual cycle. It works by monitoring two hormones, estrogen and the luteinizing hormone (LH) that can be used to measure your fertility. You can begin using the Clearblue Easy Fertility Monitor on the first day of your menstrual cycle.

Remove the battery cover on the back of the Fertility Monitor. Insert four AAA batteries, using the diagram inside the battery compartment to guide you. Replace the battery cover when finished. Press the white power button in the upper left corner of the monitor to turn it on and off.

Power on the monitor on the first day of your menstrual cycle. Press the "m" button firmly and release it when an "m" and "1" appear on the screen. This will also set your testing window, which spans six hours. For example, if you set the "m" button at 3 p.m., your testing window will be between the hours of 12 p.m. and 6 p.m.

Perform a test on the days indicated by the monitor. Remove a test stick from the packaging and hold it by the top, pointing the sampling end in your urine stream for three seconds.

Remove the cap from the test stick's handle and place it over the wet sampling end.

Turn on the monitor and wait until the red light has gone out. Place the test stick into the slot on the left side of the monitor and press down until it clicks into place. The "Test Stick" symbol will flash for five minutes while the monitor processes the results.

Remove the test stick when the monitor indicates that it has finished reading it. Your fertility status will be displayed on the left side of the display with one bar indicating low fertility, two bars indicating high fertility, and three bars indicating peak fertility.
