How to Keep Boots Smelling Fresh
Whether you wear your boots for hiking, working or you just like to put on a pair of cowboy boots and go dancing, your exertion will cause them to retain odor unless you take proper care of them. Keeping your boots from stinking requires very little time or effort on your part. However, lack of care will result in boots that are so smelly you will be afraid to wear them in public.Instructions

1
Wear effective socks that will prevent moisture from getting into the boot. For example, hiking socks are designed to trap moisture away from both your feet and the boots. Socks like these will prevent stinky boots and will also fight athlete’s foot.

2
Let your boots air dry after you have worn them for any length of time. Remove the insoles and lay them out as well. This will allow the area under the insoles to dry out.

3
Rinse the boots out with water if your feet perspire. Run some clean water through the boot, shake the boot, dump the water and let it air dry.

4
Place odor-absorbing insoles, or powder in your boots. This will absorb any smells emanating from your footwear.
