How to Fade Razor Burn
Razor burn shows up as red, bumpy skin after shaving. It sometimes resembles a sunburn or rash and feels hot and painful. Razor burn can happen anywhere you shave on the body. It occurs because the razor strips away some top skin cells, as well as irritates hair follicles while removing hair. The redness sometimes goes away within a few hours, but occasionally persists, or even worsens, throughout a day or two. Some natural products reduce the redness and irritation, fading the razor burn.Things You'll Need

1
Soak a clean cloth in witch hazel. Witch hazel reduces irritation and inflammation on the skin.
-
2
Press the cloth to the razor burn areas, anywhere on the body. You should feel some relief almost immediately and some of the redness will fade.
-
3
Remove the cloth. Gently spread a thin layer of Aloe Vera gel over the razor burn area.
-
4
Allow the Aloe Vera gel to dry before going about your usual activities. Reapply the gel if it gets wet or rubs off.
-
5
Wash the area the next morning with a mild soap. Pat it dry, then again press a cloth soaked in witch hazel to the razor burn, followed by a layer of Aloe Vera gel. Continue daily treatment until the razor burn is completely gone.
