Do daily eye exercises to stimulate and strengthen your eyes. Move your eyes up and down, from side to side, and zigzag for about five minutes a day. This will help keep your eyes in good shape.

    • 2

Follow a healthy diet to help strengthen your eyesight. Eat foods rich in carotenoids like carrots, papaya, oranges, squash, pumpkins and sweet potatoes. Carotenoids have powerful antioxidant properties that improve eyesight and prevent eye diseases.

    • 3

Stare out your window at a distant object every day for at least 30 seconds. This will train your eyes to focus on distant objects and strengthen your eyesight.

    • 4

Wear sunglasses when going outdoors. Ultraviolet rays from the sun can cause eye weakness. Protect your eyes from the sun's radiation by purchasing glasses with 100-percent ultraviolet protection.

Avoid staring at your computer screen for too long, which can cause eyestrain and weakness. Get up at least once an hour and refocus your eyes on something else for a few minutes to rest your eyes and reduce eyestrain.
