How Can I Accurately Measure My Height by Myself?
Measuring your height at home is a relatively simple process that involves a few household items. People often measure their height to keep track of bodily changes, including hormonal fluctuations, posture, growth and injury management. Keeping track of growth in children is also a fun way to remember stages of life as an adult. To measure your own height without assistance, you must be able to stand straight and have at least fair use of one arm.Things You'll Need

1
Remove any socks, shoes and hats, scarves or other objects from your head. To get the most accurate measurement, nothing should get in the way of the floor or top of your head where the measurement will be marked.
-
2
Stand straight and tall, with both arms gently at the sides of the body. Spread both legs slightly so that the feet are in line with the shoulders. The top of the back near the shoulder blades should rest slightly against the wall.
-
3
Look straight forward, and keep the head level. With one hand, take a pencil and rest it level against the top of the head with the point facing the wall. Carefully make a mark with the pencil on the wall behind your head, keeping the pencil level as you do.

Measure from the ground to the mark using a measuring tape or measuring rod. If using a measuring rod, mark the top of each length of rod to measure from until the height mark is reached. This measurement is an accurate approximation of height.
