Eat properly and take vitamins to boost your immunity. Certain vitamins can help raise your immunity and help fight off viruses such as vitamin C, beta carotene and zinc. Simply take at least 200 mg of vitamin C caplets daily and try to eat foods that contain vitamin C, such as oranges and red bell peppers. Orange juice is also a good source of vitamin C. Add beta carotene foods to your diet, such as sweet potatoes and carrots. You can also buy zinc supplements to ward off illness.

Avoid sharing anything with your sick preschool child. You could become contaminated by your child's germs. Never use the same fork or spoon as your child or drink out of your child's glass. Don't forget to use your own towels or washcloths.
