How to Repair a ResMed CPAP
A CPAP (continuous positive airway pressure) machine has become a common form of treatment for patients with chronic respiratory disorders. The device helps to keep the airways open and patients are able to take in larger amounts of oxygen into their lungs. Proper care should be taken when using the machine. 1
Take your CPAP machine to your private medical doctor or pulmonologist for assessment. A pulmonologist is a doctor who has completed additional training in lung and breathing disorders. Do not attempt to repair the CPAP machine yourself. It is considered to be medical equipment and only certified professionals should attempt to fix the device.

2
Allow your physician to run some diagnostic tests on the machine. They will check if the device has electrical power, whether it provides an abnormal amount of oxygen pressure or if it intermittently short circuits. If any of these abnormalities exist then you will have to repair the machine. However your physician is also not qualified to repair the CPAP device.

Locate the part number and serial number behind the machine. The easiest way to do so is to first make sure the device is unplugged from an outlet. Then look behind it and you will be able to locate both the part number and serial number below the barcode. The serial number will have 11 digits.

4
Contact your CPAP machine supplier immediately. Provide the part number and serial number and then follow the instructions to deliver the machine either by dropping it off at the supplier's office or mailing it. If you lost the supplier's contact information then you may contact ResMed at its India office on (91) 11 2645 3592 or its distribution collaborator (Respicure Medsys Pvt Ltd) on (91) 11 4160 5180.
