Observe yourself in front of a tall mirror. This is one of the best ways to assess your posture and make any corrections.

Place your feet should-width apart, facing forward and parallel to each other. Make sure that your weight is equally distributed on both feet. Your shoulders, ears, and knees should be aligned.

Hold your chest out and tighten your abdominal and buttock muscles. Tightening your core muscles will help prevent you from slouching.

Sit down in a sturdy, high-backed chair. Slide your hips all the way back into the backing of the chair and rest your back against it. If you find that your back isn't being supported, consider using a pillow or towel for added support.

Adjust your workspace according to your height. Adjust your screen so that you are looking directly at it and not looking down or up. Also, if you have reading glasses, wear them in order to prevent yourself from adding stress to your neck and back by leaning over to look at your screen.
