Instructions

    • 1

Take off your shoes and stand up straight with your back pressing up against a wall or other tall, flat surface.

    • 2

Mark your height by holding the pencil to the top of your head and lightly drawing a line.

    • 3

Take a dollar bill and measure from the floor how many dollar bill lengths there are up to the mark of your height. Every two dollar bill lengths is a foot.

    • 4

Fold the dollar bill over to make divisions of measurement. Folding it once lengthwise makes a 3 inch measure. Folding it twice lengthwise makes a 1.5 inch measure. Use this to accurately gauge the height.

    • 5

Take the number of dollar bill lengths and multiply them by six. This is how many inches tall you are. Divide this by 12 to figure out how many feet tall you are.
