Could you start having symptoms of pregnancy after a couple weeks?
It is unlikely to experience pregnancy symptoms within a couple of weeks of conception.
Pregnancy symptoms typically start to appear around 4-6 weeks after conception, which is about 2-4 weeks after a missed period. Some women may experience early symptoms such as breast tenderness, fatigue, and nausea as early as one week after conception, but these symptoms are not always noticeable or specific to pregnancy.
Early pregnancy symptoms can vary from woman to woman and may also differ between pregnancies. The most common early signs of pregnancy include:
- Missed period. This is usually the first and most obvious sign of pregnancy and occurs when you miss your expected period.
- Breast changes. Your breasts may become tender, swollen, or feel tingly. The veins on your breasts may also become more visible.
- Fatigue. Feeling extremely tired is a common symptom during early pregnancy.
- Nausea and vomiting (morning sickness). Although referred to as "morning" sickness, this nausea and vomiting can happen any time of the day. These symptoms tend to start at around 4-6 weeks and usually peak around 7-9 weeks.
