When can CMT be tested for during pregnancy?

Chorionic villus sampling (CVS) is a prenatal test that can be performed to test for CMT during pregnancy. CVS is typically performed between 10 and 13 weeks of pregnancy. During a CVS procedure, a small sample of tissue from the placenta is removed and tested for genetic abnormalities, including CMT.
