How to Tell Everyone That It Is a Boy

Pregnancy is an exciting experience; especially once you find out the gender of your unborn baby. Now that you know he is a boy, you want to find ways to announce it to your loved ones. Surprise them by sharing the news in a variety of unexpected ways. Consider holidays and other special occasions that are close by to announce the news to everybody at one time.

  Bake a white cake for the next family function and dye it blue with food coloring. Frost the outside of the cake in white so that the gender is a surprise until the cake is cut. Announce to the guests that the color of the cake inside is the gender of the baby.

  Send out pregnancy announcements to your friends and family with a poem especially for baby boys. One example is "A little boy is wonderful/ a very special part/ of all the hopes, dreams and plans/ we cherish in our hearts."

  Use the gender ultrasound photo to announce his gender. Send the photo in your pregnancy announcements, baby shower invitations or as a framed gift during the nearest holiday or special occasion. On the ultrasound picture, draw an arrow to the boy parts and write "boy" on it for those that are unfamiliar with reading ultrasounds.

  Dress your older child in a shirt announcing the gender, such as one reading, "I'm having a little brother!" Another way is to wear a shirt yourself with the word boy and an arrow pointing to your belly.

  Host a party or get-together at your house and decorate everything in blue, including the balloons, streamers, cake, centerpieces, plates, napkins and cups.
