Is it possible to have a miscarriage because of rh factor in the beginning your first pregnancy?
Rh factor incompatibility does not typically cause a miscarriage during the first pregnancy. While Rh factor incompatibility can lead to complications in subsequent pregnancies, the first pregnancy is usually unaffected. In Rh factor incompatibility, the mother has Rh-negative blood, while the father is Rh-positive and the fetus inherits Rh-positive blood. During pregnancy, the mother's immune system may produce antibodies against the Rh-positive red blood cells of the fetus, leading to hemolytic disease of the newborn (HDN) in future pregnancies if not managed properly. However, the first pregnancy usually provides enough time for the mother's immune system to develop tolerance, reducing the risk of severe complications.
