Instructions

    • 1

Choose a hair style for the hairpiece you want to make. These styles can vary from hairpieces with a right or left part, to those such as the pompadour and center-parted styles.

    • 2

Put the foundation over the bald area of your head that you want to cover. Trace an outline over the bald area that you want your hairpiece to cover.

    • 3

Attach the foundation to the head block for ventilation. Ventilate the hair to the foundation in the outlined area with the desired direction and thickness. To do this, place the block head between your thighs while sitting. Hold the hair you want to use in one hand and the needle in the other. Insert the needle through the foundation material where you want hair to be. Pull the needle back to hook into the hole it entered after it has passed through the material. Push the needle through the next whole while turning it facing upward. Place one or more hairs on the needle hook.

    • 4

Pull the hook, with hair attached, back through the foundation. Stop the hook at about 1/2". Allow the hair you are holding in your other hand to slide through your fingers, but apply enough pressure so that it does not fall off the needle.

    • 5

Push the needle toward the hand holding the hair about 1/2" then stop. Wrap the hair clockwise around the needle end, while positioning the hair holding hand to make sure hair stays on the needle end. Twist the Ventilator tool counter clockwise between your fingers while pulling hair through the loop that has been created. This will create knots.

    • 6

Pinch the end of the hair between your fingers and gently pull to tighten each knot.

    • 7

Remove the foundation from the head block, and apply the adhesive along the underside of the foundation, at exactly 3/4" from the edge. Allow the adhesive to dry completely.

    • 8

Cut off the excess material alongside the outside edge of the outline. For styling and cutting, you can do it yourself by hand or let a barber or stylist do it.
