Purchase a peppermint oil preparation from a reliable chemist store. Be careful while purchasing the capsule, and note the date of expiry of the preparation.

Heat the capsule or peppermint preparation in the vegetable oil. Heat it on a low flame, and do not overboil.

Apply the oil preparation obtained over the area of discomfort. Application of peppermint oil externally relieves the spasm of the colon in an effective manner.
