Morning Exercises for Men's Health

A daily exercise routine is excellent for men's health and decreases mortality rates. In fact, Jonathan Myers, PhD, and four other researchers published a study concerning this that appeared in a January 2008 issue of "Circulation: Journal of the American Heart Association." Their study using men as exercise participants showed that moderate-to-high-levels of daily exercise can decrease a man's mortality rate by as a much as 70 percent (See Reference 1). A morning routine is the perfect way to incorporate exercise for maximum benefit in a man's life.
  1. Raise the Heartrate

    • Exercises for men's health should include a morning routine that raises the heart rate and boosts metabolism. This type of a morning exercise routine can be short and brief without stepping foot into a gym. A few examples are jumping rope, push-ups, jumping jacks or a combination of the three. Raising the heart rate not only increases your energy but also increases the number of calories you burn throughout the day (See Reference 2).

    Morning Training

    • Consider waking up earlier than normal and starting a men's morning exercise training routine at the gym or health club. Exercises in the morning that use the whole body, including cardiovascular workouts, will burn more fat than if they were performed during the evening after work (See Reference 3). Your body has fewer carbohydrates and less blood sugar when you first wake up, which means that a morning exercise routine will use and burn more fat.

    Bicycle Rides

    • Even though this is a morning exercise routine for men's health that may be a little difficult to pull off because of the logistics (i.e. where to store your bike, where to shower after your ride, etc.), a bike ride to work should be considered. Not only will a bike ride burn calories and boost your energy level for the day, but you can also save on fuel expenses for your car.
