1
Buy a protective cup. Whether it be baseball, hockey or football, it is imperative that a protective cup is worn to safeguard your testicles. If the testicles become injured it is not only painful, the damage can result in loss of one testicle or infertility. It is crucial to get a protective cup that is worn and sized properly. If the cup is not correctly positioned, injuries can still occur.

2
Wear protection during intercourse. Unprotected sex puts your testicles at risk due to potential sexually transmitted disease. For example, Chlamydia can turn into Epididymitis, which is a painful inflammation of the sperm ducts in the testicles.

3
Examine yourself for testicular cancer. If hereditary conditions run in your family then self check-ups are even more important. When doing a self-examination, you are looking for anything out of the ordinary, such as a lump. Consult your doctor to further discuss if you are at risk.

4
Wear boxers instead of briefs to keep your testicles from becoming too warm. Avoid resting laptops on your lap for a long time and do not use a hot tub frequently as all these factors play a role in sperm count. If the temperature of your testicles is too high, it will ultimately lower your sperm count.
