Wash your feet on a regular basis and always wear clean, dry socks. Practicing good hygiene will prevent bacteria on your feet from infesting your shoes.

2
Wash and dry your shoes regularly. Wash them anytime you notice them getting dirty or starting to smell. Dry them every time you wear them. This kills bacteria that are already in the shoes and prevents the smell from returning. When drying, remove the insoles and place the shoes, with laces untied, in the sun or near a heater. Before washing, leave baking soda in the shoes overnight, then place them in the washing machine.

Rotate between more than one pair of shoes and use antifungal sprays on the inside of your shoes each time you remove them. Spray the inside of your shoes thoroughly and leave them to dry for a few hours before putting them on again.
