How to Stop Cravings for Alcohol

Though learning how to stop alcohol cravings is not easy, its is still an important first step for recovering alcoholics rying to quit drinking. Cravings can be intense and occur as the body is reacting to the withdrawal from alcohol in the system. Cravings are different for each individual and each person can decide what combination of diet, exercise, and coping mechanism works.

According to the Peace Health Organization, people who avoid junk food and eat healthy foods are three times as likely to remain sober while recovering from alcoholism. Eat plenty of fruits and vegetables. Stay hydrated and drink the recommended eight glasses of water per day.
