When does puberty start for girls?
The typical age range for puberty to begin is between the ages of 10 and 14 for girls. However, it is important to remember that puberty can start at different times for different individuals and there is no one "normal" age for it to begin. Some girls may start puberty as early as 8 years old, while others may not begin until they are 16 years old.
There are a number of signs that can indicate that a girl is beginning puberty. These include:
- The appearance of breast buds
- The growth of pubic hair
- Changes in body odor
- Oily skin and pimples
- Rapid growth in height
- Menstrual periods
It is important to talk to your daughter about puberty and what to expect during this time. You should also be available to answer any questions she may have. If you are concerned about your daughter's puberty, you should talk to her doctor.
