What is the normal size for a 15 year old?
Height:
* Boys: 5 feet 1 inch to 6 feet 1 inch (1.55 meters to 1.85 meters)
* Girls: 4 feet 11 inches to 5 feet 9 inches (1.50 meters to 1.75 meters)
Weight:
* Boys: 100 to 170 pounds (45 to 77 kilograms)
* Girls: 85 to 150 pounds (38 to 68 kilograms)
Body Mass Index (BMI):
* Healthy weight: 18.5 to 24.9
* Overweight: 25 to 29.9
* Obese: 30 or greater
It is important to note that these are just average ranges and that there is a lot of individual variation. Some 15-year-olds may be taller or shorter, heavier or lighter, than these averages. As long as a child is healthy and growing at a normal rate, there is no need to be concerned about their size.
