How many alcoholic rehabs are there?

The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) estimates that there are currently more than 15,000 alcohol and drug rehabilitation programs in the United States. Additionally, the National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA) reports that approximately 15% of individuals seeking treatment for substance abuse disorders enter outpatient rehabs, whereas around 2.1% enter partial hospitalization rehabs, and close to 5% go to inpatient (residential) care facilities. Of this number, just a little over 53,000 people go exclusively to alcohol rehabs.
