Can a baby survive with no brian activity?
A baby cannot survive with absolutely no brain activity. The brain is responsible for the control of all bodily functions and without any brain activity, vital organs such as the heart and lungs would cease to function. Even in cases where there is some brain activity, but not enough to sustain life independently from artificial support, babies are generally not considered viable and would be allowed to pass away peacefully. Medical interventions such as artificial ventilation may be used to extend life briefly while decisions are made regarding end-of-life care and arrangements for organ donation, if applicable.Toddlers Health - Related Articles
