What are 2 causes of sterility in women?
Two causes of sterility in women are blocked Fallopian tubes and endometriosis.
Blocked Fallopian tubes are one of the most common causes of female infertility. The Fallopian tubes are two thin tubes that connect the ovaries to the uterus. When sperm travel through the Fallopian tubes to fertilize an egg, they can be blocked by scar tissue, inflammation, or other factors.
Endometriosis is a condition in which tissue that normally lines the uterus grows outside of the uterus. This tissue can grow on the ovaries, Fallopian tubes, or other organs in the pelvis. Endometriosis can cause pain, scarring, and inflammation, which can all lead to infertility.
