The bodybugg is a fitness monitoring device that links to an online profile on the manufacturer's website. Bodybugg users wear an armband that tracks the number of calories they burn, then retrieve the information from their website profile. Without the Web account, there is no way to retrieve the information collected by the bodybugg. You can activate a new bodybugg Web account using an existing bodybugg device.

  Purchase a Web-only bodybugg account. You can purchase it from the manufacturer, or you may be able to find dealers who charge less. Sometimes used bodybuggs are sold with an activation included.

  Activate your account with the serial number from your bodybugg wristband. On the gray bodybugg, the serial number is found in the battery compartment. The black bodybugg has the serial number opposite of the USB port.

  Create your bodybugg account. You will need to enter your name, contact information and email address. Once the account is created, you can begin using your used bodybugg.
