1
Plan ahead so you have sufficient time to stop your period. Methods to stop you period need to be started before it's actually due. Depending on which method you use, you will need at least one week to plan before you expect your period.
-
2
Be sure to be on birth control pills up to two months before your honeymoon so you have one bleeding before the period you want to skip, and your body has sufficient time to get used to the pill.
-
3
Take the active birth control pills during the month of the period you want to delay. Birth control pills have active pills and inactive pills. The active pills are taken on the days working up to your bleeding, and the inactive pills are normally taken during your period.
-
4
Skip the seven inactive pills and open a new pack of birth control pills. Start taking the active pills from this new pack of pills on a daily basis all throughout your honeymoon. As long as you take an active pill per day, you will not get your period.
-
5
Stop taking the pill once you are back home to get your period.
