Be sure to be on birth control pills up to two months before your honeymoon so you have one bleeding before the period you want to skip, and your body has sufficient time to get used to the pill.

Take the active birth control pills during the month of the period you want to delay. Birth control pills have active pills and inactive pills. The active pills are taken on the days working up to your bleeding, and the inactive pills are normally taken during your period.
