How to Find a Menopause Specialist
A menopause specialist is a doctor who can help guide women through their change of life. Menopause causes hormonal changes that can be painful or confusing for women and often affects their emotional state as well as their body. Menopause specialists help women navigate menopause without many adverse effects. Many menopause specialists are gynecologists or endocrinologists. As with any doctor, it's important to find a menopause specialist who makes you feel comfortable.Instructions

1
Make an appointment with your regular gynecologist or family practitioner. Explain that you're looking for a menopause specialist to see while you're going through menopause. Your doctor should be able to give you several local suggestions.

2

3
Set up an appointment to meet with the doctor. Ask the receptionist if the doctor's office accepts your insurance. Visit the doctor and decide whether you want to continue to see him or her. If not, then make an appointment with another doctor and try again.
