A digital bathroom scale is much like its older analog counterpart. You step on it and it gives you a reading of your weight. However, these scales have proven to be more accurate than analog scales.

• Digital scales come with many features. For example, you can get a scale that measures your percentage of body fat, one that allows you to track the weight history of multiple users and one that announces your weight out loud.

• Get a scale that has large numbers on the display screen so that you can read the results easily. The display will also be easier to see if the screen lights up.

Considerations

• Use each scale at least twice when trying them out at the store. If you get a different reading each time you step on the scale, likely it is not accurate. Choose one that gives you the same reading each time.
