Fertility Massage Certification

Massage therapists, midwives and labor and delivery nurses can expand their service offerings by taking a fertility massage certification course. While enrolled in the course, students learn how to assist couples and women who are experiencing infertility to conceive through massage and reflexology techniques.
  1. Significance

    • Fertility massage certification courses teach students about the anatomy of infertility and fertility awareness. Students also learn how to teach couples how to perform massage techniques on each other in the privacy of their own home.

    Techniques

    • Some of the reflexology and massage techniques taught in a fertility massage certification course include colon cleansing, deep pelvic work and cranial sacral alignment.

    Certification Requirements

    • Fertility massage certification is achieved after paying a $30 certification fee (as of 2010) and completing 16 hours of continuing education after the completion of the fertility massage courses. Students must also read three books, "The Fertile Female," "Taking Charge of Your Fertility and Healthy Parents" and "Better Babies" and complete a case study.
