Estrogen Dominance Symptoms Due to Birth Control
Estrogen dominance is a condition in which the body has excessive levels of estrogen present. This is often caused by birth control pills, hormone replacement therapy or other health or environmental factors that contribute to elevated levels of estrogen.-
Premenstrual Syndrome

If low levels of estrogen dominance occur, oftentimes the symptoms are similar to those of premenstrual syndrome. They can include headaches, fluid retention, weight gain, mood swings, menstrual cramps and breast tenderness.
Fatigue

As levels of estrogen continue to elevate, they can lead to fatigue. Fatigue is often described as a feeling of overall tiredness and a lack of energy.
Headaches

Many woman experience headaches during moderate levels of estrogen dominance. Headaches can be dull ,or they can become severe and escalate to migraine status.
Libido

During moderate estrogen dominance, it is also common for women to experience a decrease in libido. Libido is a term for sex drive, urge or desire.
Severe Estrogen Dominance

Extremely high levels of estrogen in a woman can lead to breast tumors, infertility, endometriosis, polycystic ovary syndrome, fibromyalgia, accelerated aging and miscarriages.
