  Obtain your birth control pills at least a week before your next Depo shot is due so that you do not have any gaps in birth control.

  Begin taking your birth control pills on the day that you were due to get your next Depo shot.

  Utilize an alternate method of birth control for the first seven days of pill use in order to avoid an unintended pregnancy.
