  1. Common Side Effects

    • Some common side effects of Depo-Estradiol include nausea, vomiting, swollen breasts, acne or other skin changes, vaginal pain or dryness, decreased sex drive, depression and changes in menstrual periods.

    Serious Reactions

    • Less common serious reactions may include migraines, dementia, blood clots, or stroke. Use of vaginal ring may lead to toxic shock and bowel obstruction in rare cases.

    Increased Risk of Cancer

    • Depo-Estradiol may increase your risk of developing a condition called hyperplasia, which may lead to uterine cancer. Estrogen supplements may also increase the risk of breast cancer.

    Previous or Existing Conditions

    • If you have a history of stroke, circulation problems, a bleeding or clotting disorder or a history of breast or uterine cancer, you cannot use Depo-Estradoil. Do not use while pregnant or nursing.
