Homeopathic Remedy for Bacterial Vaginitis
-
Arsenicum albicum
-
In The Complete Homeopathic Resource for Common Illnesses, author Dennis Chernin suggests several homeopathic treatments for acute or chronic bacterial vaginitis, including arsenicum albicum, borax, calcarea carbonica and sepia.
Arsenicum albicum is used to treat bacterial vaginitis that is associated with a burning thick or thin vaginal discharge that is yellowish in color. Arsenicum 30C, a medium-potency treatment, can be consumed by young girls and women. Take 2 pills of arsenicum 30C, every 2 hours for the first 6 doses. Then take the remedy 4 times each day for a period of 5 days.
Borax
-
Borax is used to treat bacterial vaginitis associated with a milky discharge and a warm-water sensation that accompanies the discharge. Borax also works well for treating candidiasis and bleeding oral mucosa, especially when accompanied by diarrhea. Take borax 30C, a medium-potency remedy, at a dosage of 5 pills every 1 to 4 hours. You should consume borax until your symptoms improve.
Calcarea carbonica
-
Calcarea carb is used to treat bacterial vaginitis associated with a profuse, persistent discharge, itchiness and burning, a condition most common between a woman's menstrual periods. Calcarea carb is particularly good for women that are overweight. Take calcarea carbonica 30C, a medium-potency remedy, at a dosage of 5 pills every 1 to 4 hours. Continue treatment until your symptoms improve.
Sepia
-
Sepia is used to treat vaginitis that is associated with yellowish to greenish discharge or a milky discharge that itches. This type of discharge is often worse just before a woman menstruates. Take sepia 12X at a dosage of 5 pills every 1 to 4 hours. If your symptoms do not improve, you can increase the dosage to sepia 30C, 5 pills every 1 to 4 hours.
