Natural Cures for Women's Thinning Hair
Men are not the only ones that can have their hair thin and fall out. Women are also at risk. One of the main causes for thinning hair in women is genetics. Another major cause is hormonal changes due to birth control pills, menopause or giving birth. There are some natural treatments you can do at home to stop the thinning and reverse the hair-loss process.-
Ginkgo Biloba
-
Ginkgo biloba is mostly known as the herb to take if you have a forgetful memory. But it also restores blood flow to the brain, increasing circulation in the head. This allows more blood to flow to the scalp, stimulating hair growth. Take 40 mg of ginkgo biloba each day. Add it to your daily vitamin regimen so you don't forget to take it.
Scalp Treatment
-
Give yourself a scalp treatment once per week. Finely grate one onion and keep the resulting liquid. Place the grated onion and liquid in a bowl and add 1/2 cup of castor oil,and 1/2 cup of rubbing alcohol. Mix it together and rub it in to your scalp, being careful not to get any in your eyes. Cover your head up with a shower cap and set a timer for three hours. Remove the cap and rinse your hair out with white vinegar. The vinegar is good for your scalp and eliminates the onion smell from your hair. Results will be seen after four treatments.
Neem Oil
-
Neem can be purchased in leaves or in an oil, which is easier to use. Use neem oil on the scalp to help heal any conditions and stop hair from thinning. It can even stimulate new hair to grow. Place 10 drops of neem oil in 8 oz. of shampoo and shake to mix. Lather your hair with it once each day and let the shampoo remain on the scalp for 15 minutes. Then rinse clean.
