Signs of Pregnancy at Eight Weeks
At eight weeks pregnant, a woman will be experiencing a variety of first-trimester symptoms. Remember that all women experience pregnancy in different ways, and a lack of symptoms does not necessarily indicate a problem. These symptoms are largely due to the hormone fluctuations as well as the expansion of your uterus. According to the American Pregnancy Association, your uterus has already increased from the size of your fist to the size of a grapefruit.-
Morning Sickness
-
The term morning sickness is not entirely accurate, as it can strike at any time of the day or night. Morning sickness ranges from feeling nauseated to vomiting.
Breast Changes
-
This is typically one of the first indicators of pregnancy, as the breasts increase in size and become tender. Your breasts will continue to change throughout the pregnancy.
Fatigue
-
Hormone fluctuations can cause you to feel very tired. Rest when possible and look forward to the second trimester, when most women get a burst of energy.
Increased Urination
-
Many women find sleeping through the night difficult even as early as eight weeks due to increased urination. You may find yourself getting up two to four times per night to use the bathroom with even more frequent trips during the day.
Bloating
-
Some women may believe they are already beginning to show at this point. Even for veteran moms, eight weeks is early to truly be showing. You are likely experiencing bloating that will make your abdomen differ in size from day to day.
