How to Know If Am Pregnant
A missed period can be a nerve racking experience whether you are trying to get pregnant or not. While women trying to have children are more likely to become pregnant, any sexually active woman that misses a period should immediately be on alert for other signs of pregnancy. It is often possible to tell that you are pregnant from characteristic symptoms, but ultimately a home pregnancy test should be used to confirm your suspicions.Instructions

Keep tabs on your monthly cycle. Missing a period is not always the first sign that you may be pregnant, but it should be one of which you are immediately aware.

2
Pay extra attention to anything out of the ordinary in the way you feel. Pregnancy can lead to many conditions which may not normally affect you, such as nausea, vomiting, headaches, dizziness, fatigue and cravings for certain types of food. If you display these symptoms after missing a period, there's a good chance of pregnancy.

Inspect your breasts. Woman's breasts undergo significant changes during pregnancy to prepare them for feeding a child. If you are pregnant, your breasts may be sore and tender, or feel like they are bigger. The skin around the nipples may also darken.

Look for a light period, bleeding or cramping. Sometimes when a fertilized egg attaches itself to the uterus a woman still experiences a light period or some vaginal bleeding. This can make it seem like a period has not been missed.

Take one or more home pregnancy tests. If you are experiencing several early symptoms of pregnancy, the best thing to do to determine whether you are pregnant or not is to take a home pregnancy test. You should wait at least one week after your missed period for accurate results. You may wish to take more than one test just to be sure, as tests can sometimes give false positive results.
