Gather together everything that you will need to clean your house. Make sure that the vacuum is close by, the mop is ready, rags are clean, and your favorite cleaning solutions are in a convenient location. Plan your cleaning routine. Get comfortable clothes on and get ready to roll.

Put on your favorite music. The beat should be lively and make you want to dance and sing. Start out by doing some stretches. Touch your toes, reach up with your arms and do some deep knee bends. You can wear tennis shoes or go barefoot.

Know that bathrooms are a good place to begin cleaning. Scrub the bathtub by cleaning the tile with long sweeping motions. Exaggerate the movement up and down until you feel the burn. Get on your knees to scrub the tub, and use long motions back and forth to work the arms and shoulders. Take the rugs and shake them outside up and down several times. As you clean the toilet bowl and sink, use round circular movements with your arms. As you mop the floor, swing the mop out way in front of you making sure that your knees are bent to protect your back. After you finish cleaning, stretch by raising your arms above your head.

It is time to move into vacuuming. Vacuum as fast as is comfortable for you. Take long swift moves again making sure to bend your legs to protect your back. You can even dance a little while vacuuming.

Start your dusting and polishing by putting a rag in each hand. Use circular motions for all the furniture. This is great for firming the arms. When bending down to reach hidden places, take some time to do deep knee bends.

Take some time to enjoy looking at your clean house with pride. Stretch your arms and legs. Put your cleaning equipment away. Take a long, hot shower, and relax with a cup of coffee or tea.
