Consume foods containing soy. Some delicious ones to try are tofu, soybeans and many types of veggie burgers.

Wear cotton clothing in the summer, and keep a small fan handy. (Hot flashes are often worse in warm weather.)

Take 20 mg to 60 mg of black cohosh three times a day

Engage in frequent exercise, particularly brisk walking.

Talk to you doctor about receiving hormone replacement therapy. Before you begin such treatment, however, make sure you know all the risks, as well as the benefits, of hormone replacement therapies.

Take a minimum of 400 IU of Vitamin E per day.
