How to Predict a Period

Keep track of how your body has acted previously to predict when your next period will come. Most women have 28 to 35 days in their cycle. To predict your next period, you must track your cycle.

Instructions

    • 1

Use a calendar or a day planner. Each month, note the day your period begins. This is Day 1.

    • 2

Note your heaviest and lightest days as well. Record days you begin spotting and suffering from PMS symptoms like bloating, cravings and cramps. This can prepare you for next month's period.

    • 3

Count the days from Day 1 of one period to Day 1 of the next. This is your cycle length. Most women have 28-day cycles, but this number varies for each individual.

    • 4

Predict your next period by counting your cycle days starting from Day 1 of your last period. For instance, if you have a 28-day cycle, count 28 days from Day 1 of your last period and it will bring you to the predicted start date of your next period.
